Let's talk about it

Normally, the first step in the process would be to book a consultation that is specific to your services. However, Coloring and Trimming services are considered regular maintenance and a New Client Consultation will be sufficient. If you have starter locs and wish to have color we ask that you color your hair before your starter loc appointment or wait until your hair has budded (approx. 3-5 months).

Color appointment

For color appointments there are a few options. With each option color is included as well as a retwist, for hair up to armpit length for full head and shoulder length for crown locs. An additional fee will be added for additional color.

The options are as follows:

Lift and Tone All Over (for full head) lift and tone to blonde all over with a retwist included.

Single Process Color (for full head and tips) - Semi permanent lift to the color of your choice. It is best for warmer tones and is lifted with developer and color at the same time.

Double Process Color (for a full head and tips) -. The hair is bleached to remove your natural color, then color pigment is added to match the shade you're going for.

Partial Color (for full head) - Spot focus your color treatment on a certain area of your hair, such as undercuts and skunk dye, for dramatic dimension.

Custom Color (for full head)- For clients who wish to do a custom color pattern on their locs such as tiger stripes, half and half head, checker board, mutli-colored locs etc.

Trim

There is a Trim add on for those who are interested in trimming some inches off of their locs or cutting them into a cute style. It is a add on option ONLY and can be added to services such as a Wash & Re-twist and Color. You will add it as an additional service when you book your appointment.

after care

An oil and wash routine is ideal for strong healthy locs, especially color. Also, I suggest that you use a durag instead of a bonnet for your starter phase, and a bonnet for matured locs.

The suggested maintenance schedule is once a month to maintain manicured locs, once every 1.5 months for semi-free forming locs, and once every 2 months for free forming locs. If you go more than three (3) months without communicating that you are doing self care we request that a New Client Consultation is booked in order to follow up.
